Dear Chorus,
Happy New Year! We hope you and yours have enjoyed a good rest, and we hope you had a great time singing our holiday concert. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a lovely success.

Rehearsals for our spring concert begin on January 30. Our doors will be open at 6:30pm for registration and music sales. Rehearsal itself will begin at 7:30pm on the dot!

There will be three important stops (in the lobby) for ALL singers (new and returning) to make when you arrive:

1) Please check in with Laura Dietz for attendance and registration.

2) Please see Catherine Harrison for dues. If you’re a returning singer, dues are $60. If you’re singing for the first time this semester, your dues are $30 for this semester. We ask that dues be paid by the third rehearsal. If paying dues will present a financial hardship for you, please speak with Catherine, or with co-Presidents Jane Wolff or Kristin Jewell about dues relief. We want everyone to have an opportunity to sing with us, and your conversation will remain confidential.

3) Please see Trish Everitt & Company for music. We have two pieces to purchase:
Elijah: $10 new; $7.50 used
Hymn of Praise: $9 new; $6.50 used.
If you pay by check, please make your check out to “Chorus North Shore,” with “music” on the memo line. If you prefer to pay cash, please have exact change.

Finally, if you’re a new member just joining us, please stick around for a moment at the END of rehearsal: Jane and Kristin will do a quick new member orientation.

We are delighted to be starting up again – excited for new music AND happy to see all of you and sing with you again (or for the first time!). We wish you all a semester full of inspiration, challenge, good company, and great music!

Friday, May 5: Honors Youth Choir concert, “One Earth, Many Songs,”
7:00 at the Shalin Liu Center in Rockport

Monday, May 29: no rehearsal
(It’s Memorial Day, and we’re in concert week.)

Wednesday, May 31: Orchestra rehearsal at Our Lady of Hope
(strongly recommended for singers, though not required)

Thursday, June 1: Dress rehearsal at Our Lady of Hope
(REQUIRED)

Saturday, June 3: Concert! “The Majesty of Mendelssohn,” 7:00 at Our Lady of Hope
